Rising Stars is the same criteria for selection as Super Lawyers, just for attorneys who have been practicing for less than 10 years and are 40 years of age or younger. Super Lawyers and Rising Stars recognize attorneys who have distinguished themselves in their legal practice.
Super Lawyers are selected using a multiphase selection process. Peer nominations and evaluations are combined with independent research, and each candidate is evaluated on 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement. A representative number of small, medium and large firm attorneys are selected, with only 5% of attorneys selected as Super Lawyers and only 2.5% of attorneys selected as Rising Stars.
