Mr. Lankford is primarily a “wheels” lawyer, with a decade of experience working in trucking and automotive defense. He has worked on some of the largest trucking and automotive cases in the country, with experience including:

• Obtaining dismissal in lieu of summary judgment of a $100 million, triple-fatality, burn death case involving a gas and grease fire on the highway.
• Navigating to a favorable settlement in a case that led to a multi-hundred million dollar nuclear verdict against the non-settling parties.
• Favorable settlement on the eve of trial of a brain injury case in which the last demand prior to my involvement was $25 million, and our ultimate settlement was $1 million less than anyone believed possible.
• Numerous favorable jury verdicts.

Mr. Lankford is also a commercial litigator and occasional business litigator. He understands the needs of businesses and the dynamics of their operations.

Committed to effective case management, in 2024, Mr. Lankford obtained his masters degree in litigation management from Baylor Law School. This is a unique, one-in-the-country program in which practicing litigators get together with industry experts to fine-tune their practice.
